Teachings in Dharamsala
The teachings are taking place in Zilnon Kagyeling Monastery, at Bhagsu Road, McLeod Ganj.
There are two terms of teachings:
- Spring Teachings from April to mid-June
- Autumn Teachings from September to mid-November
These classes have been taking place uninterruptedly, every year since 2001.
The teachings are given all weekdays (except Saturday and Sunday), with two classes per day:
- Morning classes, from 9:00 to 11:00, are special sessions which require Rinpoche's authorization, and include the following: refuge vows, lay people vows, transmissions, empowerments, oral instructions, preliminary practices and so forth.
- Afternoon classes are open to everybody. They take place from 15:00 to 17:00, with the first 1h30 dedicated to teaching and the latter half hour to questions and answers. The teachings are in English.
Throughout the term, Rinpoche teaches a different topic each week. The subjects are related to meditation, psychology, mind science, philosophy and various practices. Most of them are connected to Sutra and Tantra teachings. The main subjects are:
- The Four Noble Truths
- The 37 practices of the Bodhisattvas
